The 2002 NECA re-releases look identical to the 1982 Tomy Tron toys, except for the fact that they're made from a cheaper plastic. This allows for the NECA toys (both figures and light cycles) to break easily, unfortunately. But besides this fact, it's hard to tell the newer ones from the originals.

I did not expect a video 12 years ago to beso entertaining. 😂

I had this as a kid! It was about 1982,I was 7. I remember Indy figure, the ark its cover, the play set with snakes, and frog and the bald headed guy that died fighting Indy airplane propeler.I had indy. My dad threw everything out 1988..I was 13 as he trash bagged everything,saying I was to old for them.

My uncle had these figures not the playset tho. Idk when he got it, but I played a bunch of times with the figures and had fun anyway. I still have them too, but yea the paint got a little scuffed 😅

Not an invisible laser. Infrared light. As you said, like a TV remote. That Starlyte was pretty freaking badass though. It was very comfortable to hold, and it looked badass. You didn't even mention the beam adjustment switch on the front. It switched it from a narrow to a wide beam. Though, you really couldn't tell much difference. The narrow beam would go a little farther.

Shoot the moon stayed in business until 2019. It just turned into a design company for other manufacturers/distributors. The Lazer Tag Team Ops, Phoenix LTX, and LTAR lines made by Hasbro were all designed by Shoot the moon. Two of the blasters in the Laser Tag Team Ops even had hidden WOW modes.

Never really knew what this series was, never saw it on TV, only had 1 tape and no book, Attack of the Venepedes, or whatever it was.

I had face and B.A...but I bought them with the van and vette..and they had hard heads. Maybe the versions that came with vehicles were updated because the heads on mine were never soft.

The ground floor and first floor should also have some integrated play features, like the top floor does. At least some sliding door or whatnot; something simple...... 😕 I personally find it pretty underwhelming as a 'supposed' action playset.
